Asuka is the "second child", meaning she was the second person chosen to pilot an Eva. Asuka is 3/4 German and 1/4 Japanese.
She is very smart seeing as she graduating from a college in Germany at a young age. Asuka is very vain. I mean, she's the
definition of vein and showy. This is a direct result of her mom commiting suicide when Asuka was just a child. Asuka says
that her Eva is the first non-proto type. The first one actually meant for battle.
